July 24, 2015 Osaka, Osaka Prefecture, Japan

I’m finally sharing photo snaps of my recent trip to Japan!
Expect my next few blog pieces to be made up by a series at Osaka.

I’ve never been to any Universal Studios until this year. I didn't have most of my day at the park planned but every attraction got me in awe as expected. It was amazing. I was set to just have fun and worry less.
I visited on a Saturday so there were literally a LOT of people dashing towards the rides. Good thing, the queue management of the park was super efficient. You’d have to wait long– grueling 3 hours long–but it was bearable and totally worth it.

Of course, you can't miss a visit to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter when in USJ–and visiting the Wizarding World means having to try a cup of frozen Butterbeer. It’s a long line reaching that massive keg in the center just to taste the butterscotch sweet, non-alcoholic beer, which I admittedly wasn't a fan of. We also had to skip the main ride through the Hogwarts Castle and the Hippogriff ride around the Hogwarts grounds as each had a wait of about 1 1/2 to 3 hours. In spite of, USJ pulled out all the stops to make you feel like you’re in Hogsmeade Village. It was the main highlight.

All the other attractions are for sure recognizable and have clear signs of their namesake. However, there’s no masking the fact that this is in Japan, everything was in Japanese! But it is still a nice experience even if you don't understand a thing.

By the time we were done, it was already 8:00 p.m. My legs were shaky from all the walking and queuing under the sun since 9:00 a.m. We missed out on a few rides but I’m good with what we were able to try. There's always a second visit!

This is by far one of the happiest places I’ve been to. Everything is just magical and surreal.

Do I recommend USJ? Definitely!
I’d still go back to see how Jurassic Park is done up then. It’s coming in 2016!!
