August 14, 2015 Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan

Kobe is only a half-hour train ride from Osaka. You’d probably be in love with this city because of its cover-all and budget-friendly public transport system, easy to navigate maps with marks on all must-see attractions, and its exceptional cleanliness.

On our 3rd day, we spent a good 4-hours roaming around the city of Kobe. As you can see, they had mini London streets, with most landscapes and buildings gone artsy and colonial. All you have to do is walk up the hill from Sannomiya Station and be astounded by the glamorous and modern surroundings (that you’d actually not believe being devastated by a 6.8 magnitude earthquake less than 20 years ago).

Sadly, we only managed to look at a few things in Kobe that time. A trip to this city was a last-minute exploration that wasn’t even as fairly detailed as it should be. How I wish I was able to cram as many different things in as I could, especially their ever-famous Kobe beef.
